Earlier this year, Rare Bird, Inc. partnered with singer-songwriter, Jon McLaughlin. Jon needed creative web solutions to help connect and communicate with fans in a way that matched his authentic, unique personality. This partnership has involved some dynamic projects consisting of new website properties, interactive SMS/text message promotions, personalized email marketing campaigns, etc. The range of work we’ve produced covers a lot of ground, but all of it has been focused toward one common goal; preparing fans for the release of Jon’s new record, Forever If Ever.
After spending the past six months engaging fans and walking them down the path toward the September 6th release date, the big day finally arrived. Staying connected with Jon’s fans and directing their attention toward key milestones and important dates made yesterday’s record release email a very enjoyable project.
The website and past email campaigns helped establish some really strong branding and marketing of the new album. We felt it was important to shift the focus back toward Jon and really showcase him, encouraging fans to connect with him as an individual. We wanted the album launch email to be understated and simplistic in it’s approach toward selling the record. Our design team used photography from Jon’s album cover photo shoot to create an email design that communicates subtle calls to action while establishing a visually personal connection with Jon.
